Choose-your-path stories
Stories where the reader decides what happens next.

A choose-your-path story stops partway through and lets the reader choose between two options. Each option leads to a different ending. These stories show a You choose what happens badge on their cover.
Making one
In the story wizard, select the 
Decision tile in the Plot step.
Making the choice
- Reading: when you reach the decision page, click one of the two option buttons. The book continues down that path.
- Listening and watching: playback pauses at the decision and the two options appear on screen. Pick one to continue. The page counter shows which path you're on.
Tip
Changed your mind? In the book, flip back to the decision page and pick the other option. It's a great way to read the story twice with two different endings.
Downloading a path
When you download a choose-your-path story, Talebard first asks which version you want (Path A or Path B), showing the text of each option. See Sharing & downloading.
